Who is SPRINT?

SPRINT is a market research platform of Blauw Research. Blauw Research is a Dutch Market Research Bureau registered at Coolsingel 55, 3012AB in Rotterdam. Blauw was established in 1993 and has been translating the opinions of consumers into advice for clients for over 25 years now. This enables them to better adapt their products and services to the wishes of consumers and customers. Blauw is a member of the Market Research Association (MOA), an industry association that promotes the interests of respondents, users and providers of market research. We process the personal data of (ex-) clients and prospects (hereinafter referred to as “Client(s)”) and the personal data of participants in market research (hereinafter “Respondent(s)”). For legibility, this privacy statement is divided into separate sections for these two groups.

Information for Respondents

We are a market research bureau and we process your personal data for the purpose of market research. We work on behalf of our clients, who often give us your details and ask us to invite you to participate in market research. When we invite you to participate in research, we inform you of the purpose of the research, and on request, who our client is. This is so you can always check whether they they should be sharing your data with us. Our clients are responsible for the lawful processing of your data. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) permits your data to be used for statistical purposes, even if your data has been collected for another purpose. We are therefore permitted to use your data for market research, even if you have not given your specific consent for us to do so. Cooperation with our research studies is entirely voluntary. You decide whether you wish to participate.
We use your personal data for statistical purposes when processing your responses. For example, to determine whether young people have a different opinion to older people, or to analyse if there are differences between people living in a city and people who live in rural areas. We do not collect any more data than is necessary for the purpose of the research study. We do not process your data in identifiable form for any longer than is necessary for the completion of the research study. We never report on you as an individual with identifiable data unless you have given us your unambiguous consent to do so. When we request that consent, we will tell you to whom and for what reason we pass on that data. We have taken comprehensive technical and organisational measures to prevent the unlawful use of your data. Your responses and personal data will be used exclusively for the purpose of research activities and not to sell you or send you anything. Following the completion of your research, your personal data will be deleted as quickly as possible and within six months at the latest.

Young people below the age of 16 will not be approached directly by Blauw Research to participate in a research study. If a research study focuses specifically on young people or children below the age of 16, we will approach them via their parents or guardians.

Information for Clients

We process your personal data for our own marketing purposes. These purposes include marketing activities consisting of commercial and informative email messages such as newsletters, white papers, invitations to events that we organise and information about our products and services that you may be interested in. When collecting your data, you consent to our terms and conditions and you give us your consent to use it for the aforementioned purpose. We collect data directly from you, the party concerned, or receive your data when you have given permission. The personal data we process about you is not of such a nature that further pseudonymisation or anonymisation is possible without preventing its use for the aforementioned purpose. Your data is saved and used for the aforementioned purpose until such time as you inform us that we may no longer continue to use your data. To do so, you can use the unsubscribe option in the emails we send you or contact us via the email address below. We make use of marketing automation software and save your data on it in data centres within and outside the EU. You are entitled to inspect and correct the data we process about you. To do so, click on the “Manage registration” link in the emails you receive from us or send an email to the following email address.

If the company for which you work purchases products or services from us, and you participate in that, we process your personal data as part of the fulfilment of a contract. In this case, the processing of your personal data is necessary for us to be able to supply those products or services. We retain your personal data in our project administration system in data centres within the EU and use it for the aforementioned purpose for as long as the contract continues. You are entitled to inspect and correct the data we process about you. You are also entitled to request that we delete your data. You can contact us via the email address below.

Amendments to the privacy statement

We may need to amend this document, for example if there is a change to privacy legislation. We therefore recommend that you consult this privacy statement regularly.
